Olympus Stylus Verve Digital Camera

A couple of years ago, I won an Olympus Stylus Verve digital camera identical to the one shown here.

The Verve was my second foray into digital cameras, having owned a Kodak DC 200digital camera for years. Although the Kodak was and still is, a very good camera, easy to use, and so on, there is no comparison to the features of the Oympus Verve.

The little Verve is small enough to tuck into your pants pocket, yet has all the features of a bigger camera, including, a 4 megapixel sensor that captures enough detail to create photo-quality 11 x 15 prints, 2x optical and 4x digital zoom; that is equivalent to a 35-70mm lens on a film camera. You can also capture video clips with sound; as well as view images even in bright light with 1.8-inch HyperCrystal LCD.

The Olympus Verve is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that is included with the charger.

This is a sweet little digital camera, it's body is designed to resist damage

I really have no complaints with this camera, it's proven useful to me, and does take decent pictures. I do recommend you purchase a memory card because the one that came with mine only holds about 12 pictures, not nearly enough. You could also pick up a spare rechargable battery as well if you are going on a trip. I'm also not fond of the picture editing package that comes with the camera as I found it difficult to use, however, I have Kodak Picture Easy which I use to edit my pictures.

All things considered, this is a good digital camera, especially if you are looking for something small and lightweight, yet versatile. They seem to be in short supply, although I think there are a few for sale on Amazon
